Not Avant-Garde: 2009 Audi A4 Avant @ 2008 Geneva Auto Show

Nothing special here really unless you’re into wagons. If that’s the case, then the 2009 Audi A4 Avant might be of interest.

As you would expect, this A4 Avant is essentially a next-generation A4 sedan with a new, slightly more useful wagon configuration. The wheelbase has been stretched by 6 inches and the overall length is up to 185 inches, about 5 inches longer than before.

Can someone please explain to me why we love SUVs so much? They make absolutely no sense to me.

An A4 sharing multilink suspension stemming from A6s and A8s makes beautiful sense to me.

Other reviews I have read really dig the new A4 avant. Audi has had a long history of wagons (avants) and they are unique in their own way.
