The V12 TDI engine …
The V12 TDI engine is built by Audi Hungary but only for the Q7. There are no plans of putting this engine into the R8. It would require such a huge gearbox, that it wouldn’t fit into this car. The engine is huge alone (very long and tall, and way too heavy for a sportscar). The concept car had a V6 TDI gearbox, it was enough for crusing for the show.
